This past weekend at Katsura Reiki we made Pear Jam with vanilla and white peaches. During the making of the jam it was infused with reiki energy. Adding reiki to jam is a good thing. The jam making process over the years has become more stream-lined. It takes two days to make this small batch of jam. However, this actually makes it easier and a more efficient process. Vanilla beans with the pears are a delightful combination to add to your jams. The peaches/nectarines add some much needed pectin to make the jam gel. The process of making jam allows for a moment of mindfulness. One becomes intent on the entire process and creating a wonderful jam. Take time out to enjoy the fresh fruits and vegetables in season and preserve them as jams to enjoy through out the year.
