Gardening is the rule of the day during the long weekend. I planted many perennials recently and they all are doing wonderfully well. The Jacob's Ladder is a mature plant purchased recently at the Orno Plant Sale -which was fantastic. All of the plants I purchased are doing amazing in the garden. I am still in the garden tidy up mode but nothing is like relaxing in the garden and enjoying the day. Take time this long weekend and relax. The summer heat wave is upon us! Now is the time to enjoy this wonderful weather. Summer is such a short season take advantage of it as much as possible. The zinnias are particularly outstanding this summer. The colours are fantastic. Zinnia is a flower that is happy and bright. These flowers make great cut flowers as well. Just watch out for earwigs. In the summer reiki is still beneficial and a short session is helpful. Sometimes if you are in a rush and don't want a one hour reiki session...

In the summer it is a great time for surprises in the garden. These lupins are a great example of how a few plants grew into a wonderful clump of flowers. The lupins are wind resistant and are set off by the Willow tree in the background. I am excited about the garden as the zinnias will soon be blooming. Take some time and practice a mindful meditation in the garden. It is an ideal place to relax and simply enjoy the greenery all around you. Just breathe.

Spending time in the garden is a great way to reduce stress and focus on creating a beautiful environment. Now is the time to weed, trim branches and remove any winter debris lingering around. It is a great time to start seeds in the garden. The soil temperature is warm enough for annuals. Make sure to water them regularly as they are starting out. Winter is ending soon! It doesn't seem likely at the moment but soon, we will be seeing the last of the snow. I can't wait for the snow to melt away, slowly and to being the process of gardening. Meanwhile, I am working on starting some seeds indoors. I have already started snapdragons, heliotrope and geraniums. I am planning on having a great cutting garden this year. It is so rewarding to bring cut flowers from the garden into the house. They make the backyard look fantastic. Also, starting...
